Discover South Australia’s Unique Food Favourites
Delve into the Unique and diverse food and drink icons of South Australia as you wander around Adelaide’s CBD and out to North Adelaide. Over 2 hours you will learn why and how South Australia has developed its own unique food and drink that no one in the rest of Australia or the world has heard about, but South Australians have grown up loving.
Experience the Parisian influenced Frog Cake, chew on some Haigh’s chocolates, Menz Fruchocs and Charlesworth nuts: all South Australian family run companies, sip on the only non carbonated drink to outsell Coca-Cola; Farmers Union iced coffee. Finish with a true SA cultural icon, the pie floater (vegetarian options available)!
These foods have become so intrinsic to the culture of South Australia, that they have been made heritage food icons by the National Heritage Trust of Australia!
As you nibble on these food icons at various locations, we will roam through historic arcades and streets of the CBD. Next we make our way past Adelaide Oval and St Peters Cathedral to historic and charming North Adelaide. We will enjoy views back over the city from Lights Vision before getting to see the extravagant stone heritage listed homes, and wide Oak lined streets of Adelaide’s, northern suburb.
