Where the Radness All Began

According to UrbanDictionary.com, ‘Radelaide’ is a slang term for the city of Adelaide, South Australia. Often used by those who enjoy the sights, lifestyle and culture of Australia’s 5th-most-populated city.

We use this name, Radelaide Tours, as when you join our tours we will show you the best of Adelaide’s sights, lifestyle, culture, food and drink.

On this day in 1972, Don Dunstan, the premier of South Australia, wore his famous pink shorts to parliament. It was quite the #fashion statement, especially for Adelaide – a place which had recently "grown up" and transformed from a large country town to a city with a sophisticated arts scene that was embracing cultural diversity and thriving under historic democratic reforms, all under Dunstan’s leadership. On that day in 1972, Dunstan proudly wore his pink shorts in honour of democracy and everything he fought for. Today, you can see these pink shorts at a special exhibition being held at @agsa.adelaide called Radical Textiles which will be on until the end of March, 2025. #Adelaide #seesouthaustralia #walkingtour #tour #pinkshorts #dondunstan #radelaide
