The Walking Tour Experience

Please be at the specified location for your tour five minutes prior to tour departure time.

The guide will be there to greet you and once all people booked on the tour arrive, we will commence the walking tour.

Mobility aids such as wheelchairs and prams can be used on the Ultimate Adelaide, Hidden Adelaide and Discover Glenelg tour. Adelaide is a relativiely flat city and these tours are on concrete sidewalks for the majority of the tour. There are some sections during the tour where a wheelchair user may need assistance to get over or up an incline, ramp or bump in the path/road.

For the Discover Adelaide tour the walking city tour section of this tour is accessible for Wheel chair users and prams. But please note that the Popeye river cruise  unfortunately does not have ramp access. There are two steps up and a further four steps down into Popeye. There is a handrail to the left side and a skipper and deckhand who will always offer to assist. Most wheelchairs can fit through Popeye’s entrance. There is room at the rear of the Popeye to store walkers, wheelchairs & prams.

During the Ultimate Adelaide and Hidden Adelaide tour we catch a tram 2 stops to avoid walking 5 blocks. The tram is wheelchair accessible and service animals are allowed on board.

For wheelchair and pram access, to get on a train or tram, wait over the platform area that has the white and blue international symbol of Access icon. Once the train or tram stops, the first door will open in front of the area with the access symbol. The driver or uniformed employee will set up the access ramp for you to board the train or tram.

Service animals are welcome on tour.

During our tours we have identified areas that Service animals will be able to have water and to relieve themselves on a grassy area. Please enquire with us to find the details of this for each tour.

There is audio commentary throughout the trip. Guides will speak directly to the group without the use of any speakers or microphones.

We can provide additional commentary to people with vision impairment or written commentary for those with hearing impairment.

We are happy to work with you to ensure you thoroughly enjoy your experience.
